Uneventful Night

The newsroom was put on emergency and key members of the staff were recalled from the public holiday.

We were to expect the worse and hope for the best.

There were two potential breaking news events if something had gone wrong.

 1) Singapore's National Day

2) Discovery Space Shuttle

Thank God nothing happened.

I was recalled to do the night news anyway. But since I was bored out of my wits in between bulletins, i decided to explore our recently installed TV in our PC.

And I discovered I can take snap shots of myself. So on the repeat telecast of the World Tonight on CNA International, i became trigger happy:

Meanwhile, I had to cancel prior plans for Singapore's National Day!

Singapore National Day. You don't have protest groups naman there, right?

protests? are you kidding? Everybody loves Singapore! ha ha ha

protesters can only protest quietly in the comfort of thier own rooms.

This is another attribute..that makes u stand out from the rest of other news anchor...professional and yet fun loving..nice personality..

so..did u plan for a getaway to a resort island for another recuperation..?hahaha.. I saw u on the news last nite...u looked well rejuvenated..and relaxed..but not bored...
Glad that Discovery Space Shuttle made a safe landing back on earth....space exploration mission is crucial for the future well being of humanity..we need to know what is beyond and outside our own planet..

with Discovery being grounded it will take a long time before US space exploration can return to it's previous glory.

haha, i see that the new function has kept u entertained through the long hours... but ya, was glad nth went wrong on such a large scale project such as NDP. the fireworks were awesome!!!

CNA broadcasts the news on the hour and every hour too...its pretty tough for the news anchor to appear fresh and interested all the time...especially....if there isnt any breaking news...yeah..i think it quite boring to read the same news repeatedly... right?

wow... i didn't know even you guys have to be on call... must be a hectic job and stressful sometimes.
